Mrs. Raymond D. Amig
Mrs., Edith Elizabeth Amig, 50, of 121 Berks Street, Palmer Township, died at 3:10 a.m. today at Allentown Hospital, to which she was admitted last night. She was the widow of Raymond D. Amig, who died 19 years ago.

A native of Kutztown, she the daughter of the late Rev. David Kostenbader and Sarah Hahn Kostenbader. Mrs. Amig resided in the Easton are for 17 years. She had been a practical nurse at the Lehigh County Home, Wescoesville, for two years. Mrs. Amig was a member of Christ Evangelical Congregational (Blue) Church, Williams Township.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Schippers, of the Berks Street address; two sisters, Miss Ida Moser, of Easton, and Mrs. Florence Setzer, of Bordentown, N.J., and three grandchildren.

Amig, Edith Elizabeth

Amig, Edith Elizabeth, the daughter of the late Rev. D. F. Kostenbader and his wife, Sarah, nee Hahn, was born in Kutztown, Pa., November 20, 1899. She passed out of this life Monday, May 22, 1950, at the Allentown Hospital after only two days of illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, in 1931. Mrs. Amig was an outstanding Christian character whose life will be a memorial to her loved ones and friends in the years to come. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Congregational Church, Williams Township, and was very active in that church, being a Sunday School teacher, a Steward, and the Lay Delegate to Annual Conference for the past eight years. Two years ago she felt God called her into active work in caring for His people and became a practical nurse at the Lehigh County Home, Allentown R. 2, where she gave of her time and talent in caring for the sick, etc. Monday preceding her death, she was promoted to the position of Assistant Matron. A memorial service was held in the County Home on Wednesday evening, May 24, at which time guests and staff attended in her memory. Funeral service was held on Thursday afternoon, May 25, at the Schillinger Funeral Home, Easton, in charge of her Pastor, Rev. E. L. Ramer. Dr. E. S. Woodring offered the prayer, and the undersigned preached the sermon. Burial took place at Emmaus in charge of the writer. Left to mourn is a daughter, Mrs. Harry Schipper, Easton; two sisters, Ida Moser, Easton; Florence Setzer, Bordentown, New Jersey, and three grandchildren. We commend the relatives and friends into God's care for comfort in their hour of need. __J. D. Edwards
