James S. Koch, 78, of 2nd Avenue, Hellertown, died Sunday, Jan. 12,
at home. He was the husband of the late Evelyn L. (Lessig) Koch.
He was a general foreman in the Saucon shipping division of Bethlehem
Steel Corp. before retiring in 1977 after 30 years' service.
Born in Hellertown, he was a son of the late Robert Koch and Katie
(Newhard) Koch Christ.
He was a member and past consistory chairman and past chairman of
the building committee of Lower Saucon United Church of Christ, Hellertown.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, he also served in the National
Guard.
He was a member of Prosperity Masonic Lodge 567, Riegelsville, and
Forks of the Delaware Shrine Club.
Survivors: Sons, daughter,
brother, sisters,
stepbrothers, and three grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday,
Falk Funeral Home, 1418 Main St., Hellertown. |
