Lester Knauss
Lester Raub Knauss, 69, former.ly of Phillipsburg, died yesterday
at the Barnert Medical Center, Paterson after a long illness.
He lived at 356 E. 32nd St., Paterson.
Born in Phillisburg, Dec. 16, 1903, he was a son of the late
Harry and Lottie Raub Knauss.
Mr. Knauss was a machinst for the New Era Corp., Paterson,
for 31 years. Previously he worked at the Ingersoll-Rand Corp.
He was graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1921.
He was a member of the Phillipsburg Elks and played in the
Ingersoll-Rand basketball league.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss ***** Knauss, Chicago,
a sister, Mrs. John Dick, Phillispburg, and one grandson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Rupell Funeral
Home, Phillpsburg. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial
Shirine.
