Mrs. Eschar C. Yeager Widow of Recorder
Mrs. Annie King Yeager, widow of Escher C. Yeager, former Northampton
County recorder of deeds, died late Thursday night at her home,
120 North Fourth Street, after an illness of seven months.
Mrs. Yeager, a resident of Washington Boulevard for many years,
had made her home on North Fourth Street for 14 years. At the
time of her death, she resided with her sister, Mrs. Nellie
K. Tomber, her only survivor.
A lifelong resident of Easton, Mrs. Yeager was a daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. George King. Her husband formerly
operated a drug store at the corner of Washington Boulevard
and Seventeenth Street. He served as recorded of deeds from
1912 to 1916. Mr. Yeager died in 1926.
Mrs. Yeager for many years was active in the work of the Red
Cross. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and
the First Von Bora Circle of the Church. Another sister, Mrs.
W.P. Kressly, died nine years ago.
