Elizabeth J. Smiley, Born in Easton
Elizabeth Jane Kies Smiley, 71, of Merchantville, N.J., died
Monday, July 21, in Meadowview Nursing and Respiratory Care
Center in Williamstown, N.J.
Born in Easton, she lived in Merchantville for 45 years.
She was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church,
where she was a member of the Tidings Mailing Group, and a
neighborhood group called the Busy Bees Women's Group.
She wand her husband, John William, were married 45 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters
a brother,
Earl John Kies of Tuscon, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held in Trinity United Methodist church in Merchantville.
Burial was in Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken, N.J.
The family requests memorials to the church Library Fund,
Maple and Chapel avenues, Merchantville, NJ 08109-5141.
Arrangements were by the Stephenson-Brown Funeral Home in
