Oliver Kiefer
Oliver Kiefer, 80, of 316 High Street, a retired employee of the J.T. Baker chemical Co., Phillipsburg, died today at 1 a.m. in Allentown. he had been ill for three weeks.
Mr. Kiefer retired 10 years ago after 40 years of service with the chemical company. He and his wife, the former Evelyn Carey, observed their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov 21.
Born in Easton on April 17, 1870, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary C. Kiefer. he was a lifelong Eastonian and one of the oldest members of Grace Evangelical Reformed Church. He also was a member of Easton Lodge 152, F. & A. M.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Oliver Jr. at home, and a daughter, Mrs. A. J. Crawford, of Miami, Fla. |
