Hazel M. Bonnell, former secretary at Lafayette
Hazel M. Bonnell, 61, of 581 Barrymore St., Phillipsburg, died Wednesday in Warren Hospital where she had been a patient since Feb. 10.
She had been a teletype operator at Ingersoll-Rand Co., Phillipsburg, and later was employed as a secretary for the department heads of the history and English departments at Lafayette College. She was last employed as a secretary at the former Eck Insurance Agency, Wilson.
Born Oct 17, 1920, in Easton, she was a daughter of William Kiefer of Phillipsburg and the late Florence Swartz Kiefer. She lived in the area all of her life.
Mrs. Bonnell was a 1938 graduate of Phillipsburg High School. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Straw Church, and a former member of the board of managers of the Warren County Chapter, American Cancer Society, Oxford R.D.
Surviving are her husband, Walter S. Bonnell; a daughter, ****, Franklin, Mass.; a sister, ****, Phillipsburg, and a granddaughter.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Rupell Funeral Home, Phillipsburg. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. |
