Gilbert W. Kiefer, 78, of 1381 Puggy Lane, Bethlehem, died Sunday at home. He was the husband of Arlene E. (Wagner) Kiefer. They were married 52 years.
Before retiring in 1978, he was a truck driver for the former Earl W. Ecker Construction Co., Bethlehem, for 45 years.
Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late William and Mary (Kutz) Kiefer.
He was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Center Valley.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and recipient of the Purple Heart.
Survivors: Wife; son, Gary G. of Bethlehem; daughters, Sharan L., wife of Gregory Illes of Fountain Hill, and Gail L., wife of David Guerrero Jr. of Center Valley; brother Edwin of Bethlehem; daughter, Martha Dreisbach of Fountain Hill; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dino P. Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday.
