Floyd Kieffer, Former Penna, Road Official
Floyd Raymond Kieffer, 83, of 440 Lee Highway, Arlington, Va., formerly of 1344 Lehigh St., Easton, died yesterday at the Sleepy Hollow Nursing Home, Washington, D.C.
Born in Easton, Feb. 4, 1888, he was a son of the late William H. and Mary Marsh Kieffer. He lived in Virginia since 1964 and was in ill health since 1967.
Mr. Kieffer was a highway supervisor with the Pennsylvania Department of Highways and later was employed as a clerk for Huston Hardware Store, Easton for several years. he was formerly a car salesman for many years in the Easton area.
He was a former member of Calvary Memorial United Methodist Church, Easton, and was a member of Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church, Washington, D.C,
Survivors include his widow, the former Mary V. Mitchell; a son, William H. II, Greenville. S.C., a daughter, Betty V. Kieffer, with whom he resided in Arlington; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ashton Funeral Home, Easton. Interment will be in Easton Heights Cemetery. |
