Benjamin F. Kiefer
Benjamin F. Kiefer, 80, of Bath R. 2, formerly of Fullerton and West Catasauqua, was found dead Friday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Houser, where he resided the past 16 years.
Northampton County Coroner Joseph F. Reichel attributed death to natural causes.
Kiefer was a linotype operator for the Catasauqua Dispatch 50 years until retiring 10 years ago.
Born in West Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Henrietta (Sanders) Kiefer.
Kiefer was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Whitehall. He played trombone in the Catasauqua Band many years.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Kane and Mrs. Esther Laubach, both of Allentown, and Mrs. Margaret McKay of Yeadon.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Thomas A. Burkholder funeral Home, 34rd and Walnut Streets, Catasauqua. Viewing will be 7-8:30 p.m. tomorrow. |
