Mrs. E. J. Smith, Ex-Teacher, Dies
Mrs. Henrietta K. Smith, 61, wife of Ezra J. Smith, of 503 N. 6th St., Allentown, died Thursday at Allentown Hospital. Her husband is a partner in the firm of Smith & Feifly and former school director.
Born in West Catasauqua, she was a daughter of Mrs. Hattie M. Keifer Kane of Allentown and the late Joseph Kane.
Mrs. Smith was a teacher prior to her marriage 36 years ago. She was a graduate of Kutztown State College.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ, the Lehigh County Red Cross Volunteer, Service and New Temple Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving with her mother and husband are a son, two grandchildren and a brother, Benjamin J. Kane, Allentown.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown. There will be no calling hours. |
