Edward Helms
Edward Helms, 73, an Easton resident for many years, died last
night at 8:15 o'clock at Nazareth R. D. His health had been
failing for the last two years.
Mr. Helms formerly worked in the West Easton plant of Ingersoll-Rand
Company as a sand blaster. He also was employed at one time
in the Easton shops of the Lehigh Valley Railroad.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Wilson B. Helms and
Matilda Garis Helms. He attended South Presbyterian Church.
His wife Mary Helms, died many years ago.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Bullman, Mrs. Eva
Morrow and Mrs. Margaret Werkheiser, all of Easton and Mrs.
Henrietta Keck, of Philadelphia, and three brothers, Paul of
Easton; Harry; of Newark, NJ and John of Washington DC. |
