Ellerslie W.R. Helm, 78, of 1885 Morgan Hill Road, Williams Township, died Sunday in Muhlenberg Rehabilitation Care Center, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Mabel (Browne) Helm. They were married 52 years in February.
Helm was owner of Ell's Service Center, 3rd and Lehigh streets, Easton, and then in Williams Township until retiring.
He was a Williams Township supervisor for 24 years.
Born in Williams Township, he was a son of the late Earie Sr. and Mabel (Kiefer) Helm.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Williams Township.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Helm was a 32nd degree Mason in Prosperity Lodge 567, Riegelsville.
Survivors: Wife; sons, Ellerslie W. of Wilson and Robert P. of Williams Township; daughters, Joan E. Frank of Bethlehem and Jane C. Yobe of Lopatcong Township, N.J.; brother, Kenneth S. of Williams Township; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and a step- great-grandson.
