Lawrence E. Hammerston
Lawrence E. Hammerston, 63, formerly of Riegelsville, died
Sunday in Ireland, W. Va.
At the time of his death, he was resideing with his son, Gary.
He had been employed as a custodian at the Hughesville Mill
of Riegle Products Corp. and retired in 1974. He was employed
by the company for 35 years. He was a member of the Riegel
Quarter-Century Club.
Born in Riegelsville, he was a son of the late Edward and
Edna Frankenfield Hammerstone.
He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Riegelsville.
He also was a veteran of World War II having served with the
U.S. Army. He was a member of American Legion post 950, Riegelsville.
Also surviving are a brother, Eugene S. Hamerstone, Milford,
R.D. 1, N.J., and a sister, Mrs. Herman Borger, Easton, and
a granddaughter.
Graveside services will be held at 1p.m. Friday in the Riegelsville
Union Cemetery, Local arrangments are being made by the Robert
W. Snyder Funeral Home, Riegelsville. |
