Mrs. Rabenold, 82, Mother of 7, died
Mrs. Sarah S. Rabenold, 82, died at 11 p.m. Sunday at her home in South Catasauqua, Allentown, R. 4. She was ill nine days.
Born in Rittersville, East Allentown, she was a daughter of of Peter and Henrietta (Silvers) Gruver. She resided for the past 50 years in Allentown R. 4.
Her husband, Harvey H. J. Rabenold, died 14 years ago.
She was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed congregation of Christ Church, Shoenersville, the Ladies Aid Society of the church and the Home Department of the Sunday school. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose, Allentown, and the Reindeer Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary of Catasauqua; World War Mothers of Catasauqua, and the East End Fire Co., Auxiliary.
Survivors are the following children: George, South Catasauqua; Harvey, at home; Florence, wife of Ralph Evans, Fullerton, Helen, wife of Quintus Haydt, Allentown, R. 4, Goldie, wife of Lester R. Herman, Danielsville; Sylvia, wife of John Spaiths, Danielsville; Juna, wife of George Herman, Catasauqua; 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Gruver, Allentown; a sister, Mrs. Mary Fried, Allentown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons, Charles, Edwin and John; and a daughter, Minnie.
