Shrack of Phillipsburg Dies at Age 100
Anniversary Was Last Top Occasion of Centennial
Mrs. Annie Schrack, of 1118 S. Main St., Phillipsburg, died
this morning at her home. She was ill two weeks. Mrs. Schrack celebrated her 100th birthday anniversary last
Nov. 20. It was the last major occasion of Phillipsburg centennial
year.
Mrs. Schrack was born in 1861, the year Pillsbury was incorporated.
Of all the children born that year in Phillipsburg, she was
the sole survivor. She died in the same house in which she
was born.
As a girl, Mrs. Schrack lived on her grandparents' farm in
the No. 10 Plane section of Phillipsburg. She was a daughter
of the of the Louis and Sybilla Paulus Glick. She attended
the old No. 10 Plane School.
During her girlhood. Mrs. Schrack worked on the farm helping
the men in all farm work and milking the cows. She later worked
in Easton, for several years with her late husband, John Schrack.
