Mrs. Walter S. Miller
Mrs. Mildred Miller, widow of Walter S. Miller, died this morning
in Easton Hospital where she was admitted Oct. 28. She was
ill two years.
Mrs. Miller resided with Mr. and Mrs. Rossi Forsyth at 506
Grant St., Easton. Her husband died Feb. 27, 1957.
Born Aug 11, 1896, in Easton, she was a daughter of the late
George and Mary Smith Garis.
She was a member of St. Peter's United Church, the choir and
Woman's Guild of the church, and William Parsons Chapter 185,
Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include two sons, Harold R., Philadelphia, and Sgt.
Maj. Carl Miller, serving with the Army in Saigon; a brother,
George E. Garis, Easton; three sisters, Ada, wife of J. A.
Lum, Easton; Nellie, wife of Earl Rapp, Wilson, and Mrs. Florence
Sanderson, Phillipsburg, and four grandchildren. A son, Walter,
died in 1945, and a brother, John E., died in 1960.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Strunk Funeral
Home, Easton. |
