Dr. W.R. Deemer Died Saturday
Last Rites Held Monday Afternoon At Home IN Miami, Fla
Fremont relatives and friends were informed Sunday of the death of Dr. William Ray Deemer, 67, resident of Fremont until a year ago, at his home in Miami, Fla., Saturday Night. Funeral services were to be held at his home, in Miami Monday afternoon, followed by cremation. The ashes will be sent to Fremont via air mail or private burial at Oakwood Cemetery Tuesday between 2 and 4 p.m. The Tschumy memorial will be in charge of the rites.

Prominent as an eye, ear, nose and throat specialist, until his retirement a year and a half ago, Dr. Deemer had been seriously ill last winter. He had suffered from a heart ailment, although his condition was not considered piratical and he died during the night after suffering a heart attack.

Fremont Native
A son of William A. and Anna Deemer. Dr. Deemer was born in Fremont and had resided there until his retirement. He was married to Miss Fannie Harns of Pemberville. He was first engaged in general practice of medicine and was an officer of the medical corps at Fort Ogelethrope during the World War. After leaving the army service, Dr. Deemer Specialized in the treatment of diseases of the eye, ear, nose and throat, until ill health forced him to retire. The deceased at one time was a member of the Fremont board of education.

He is survived by his wife, who is convalescing from a recent critical illness of bronchial pneumonia; two daughters, Mrs. William Tschumy and Miss Ruth Deemer both of Miami. A sister Miss Mary E. Deemer and a brother, Dr. Horace Deemer, precede him in death.

Miss Clare Siegfried, Edward Deemer and Clifford Deemer of Fremont, are cousins.
