Mrs. H. Earl Metler
Mrs. Hazel Mae Metler, 57, of 902 Butler St., Easton, died at 6:25 a.m.
today in Easton Hospital. She was admitted Feb 15.
Mrs. Metler was the wife of H. Earl Metler, a policeman on the Easton-Phillipsburg
Bailey Bridge Crossing the Delaware River.
Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Emma Lance
Brotzman and spent her life in the city. She was a member of Good Shepherd
Lutheran Church, Wilson; the Rice-Ebner American Legion Auxiliary,
Easton, and the 8 et 40 of Northampton County.
Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. John Kauffman,
of Schenectady, N.Y., and Mrs. William Myers Jr., of Easton; a brother,
Earl, of Easton; two sisters, Mrs. John Hughes, of Easton,and Mrs.
Edgar Brokaw, of North Plainfield, N.J., and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m Wednesday at the Shillinger Funeral
Home, Easton.
