Edward R. Brodhead
Edward R. Brodhead, l71, of Palmer Township, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2006 in Old Orchard Healthcare.
Born: On March 4, 1935 in Wilson Borough, he was a son of the late Harry and Erma Laubach Brodhead.
Personal: He and his wife, the former Pauline Piatt, were married for 27 years. Edward retired from William Company, formerly Trans Continental Gas, where he was employed his entire career. He was a 1954 graduate of Wilson High School and served with the Marine Corps during the the Korean War. Edward was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed country music, especially Johnny Cash.
Memberships: Edward was a member of the Palmer Moravian Community Church. He was also a member of service and social clubs.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Pauline, he is survived by a son, Gary Brodhead of Wilson Borough; a step-son, Bill Schaefer and his wife Marlene of Northampton; a step-daughter, Denise Weaver and her husband John of Lower Nazareth Township; a brother, Charles Brodhead and his wife Tootie of Palmer three step-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Harold, Richard, and Stan, and a sister, Evelyn, all died earlier.
Services: Will be Thursday (today) at 11 a.m. in the Strunk Funeral, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Call on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Northampton Memorial Shrine. |
