Charles W. "Chot" Brodhead, 76, of Palmer Township, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2007 in Easton Hospital ER.
Born: February 25, 1931 in Palmer Township, he was a son of the late Harry and Erma Brodhead.
Personal: He and his wife, the former Alberta "Tootie" Scholl, would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on September 29, 2007. Chot retired in 1993 from Maier's Bakery as a delivery and route salesman, where he worked for 32 years. Prior to that, he worked for Sears Roebuck. He was a 1949 graduate of Wilson High School and served with the Army during the Korean War. Chot enjoyed going to the diner for coffee with his friends and watching Penn State football. He delivered Meals on Wheels for 11 years.
Memberships: He was a member of Palmer Moravian Community Church. He was a member of Brown and Lynch American Legion Post 9, and a life member of Palmer Athletic Association.
Survivors: In addition to his wife Tootie; two sons, ***** and his wife ***** of Palmer Township, and ***** of Bethlehem, a daughter **** and her husband **** of Edgewater Park, NJ; five grandchildren, and a special niece and goddaughter, *****. Four brothers, Harold, Richard, Stanley and Edward, and a sister, Evelyn, died earlier.
Services: 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Call Thursday 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church, John St. and Moravian Avenue, Easton, 18045.
