Virgil L. "Putt" Beam, 75, of Slatington, died June
23 in his home. He was the husband of the late Betty Jane (Meyers)
Beam.
He was a truck driver for 45 years for Sea and Land Transport
in New Jersey.
Born in Coopersburg, he was a son of the late Racie Sr. and
Esther E. (Cressman) Beam.
Survivors: Companion, Marilyn (Cynamon) Gertel of Slatington;
son, daughters, stepson, sister, brother,
eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
Services: graveside, 11 a.m. Thursday, Union Cemetery, Slatington.
Arrangements, Harding-Fox Funeral Home, Slatington.
Contributions: For funeral expenses, c/o the funeral home.
