John R. Beam
John R. Beam, 70, of 433 Ferry St., Easton, died Wednesday
in Easton Hospital.
He was employed as a security guard by the Fili Detective
agency, Easton, and at one time was a security guard for the
Mushroom Trucking Co., Clinton. Before that he worked as a
baker for Leone's Bakery, Easton, and had been caretaker for
Hay's Cemetery, Easton, and Fairmount Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
Born Nov. 2, 1912, in Springtown, N.J. he as a son of the
late Isaac and Anna McNichols Beam. He lived in the Easton
area all his life.
Mr. Beam was a member of Brown and Lynch American Legion Post
9, Palmer Township; John Dolak American Legion Post, Alpha;
the Seventh Ward Club, Easton, and the Young Democratic Club,
Wilson. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth Rutt; a son,
a stepson, two
stepdaughters, and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday in the Rupell Funeral
Home, Phillipsburg. Cremation will be in Cedar Hill Memorial
Park, Allentown. |
