Mrs. Frank H. Raub
Mrs. Leila Barr Raub, wife of Frank H. Raub, of 232 West Hemlock
Street, Hazelton, died at 11:50 Sunday night at the Easton
Hospital, from Bright's disease, age ? years, Mrs. Raub was
admitted to the hospital on April 6.
She is survived by her husband and by her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. John R. Barr, of No 1032 Berwick Street, South Side, and
by one brother, Lient. Elvin Barr, now in the U.S. Army, and
on sister, Miss Marion Barr, residing at home. She was a member
of St. Peter's Reformed Church, South Side.
Mrs. Raub was born on the South Side and was graduated from
the Easton High School. She formerly held a position in the
office of the Prudential Insurance Company, this city, and
was a young woman of pleasing personality. She was held in
high esteem by a wide circle of friends. Her husband was at
one time City Engineer here and after resigning from that position
in 1912 entered the employ of the Lehigh Valley Railroad. Two
years ago he was made Assistant engineer of the Mahanoy & Hazelton
Division, with headquarters in Hazelton and moved to that city. |
