John J. Barnet
John J. Barnet, 68, master mechanic at the Crown Silk Mill, Bangor, and a former Easton plumber died at 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon at his home, 1251 Northampton street.
Mrs. Barnet was born in Easton in 1868, the son of the late John H. and Catherine Elizabeth Barnet. He attended the Easton schools and early in life learned the plumber’s trade. He was in the employ of the late Christian Gebhardt and the late Frank H. Ricker for many years and several years ago took a position with the Crown Silk Company.
Besides his widow, Mrs. Lizzie Barnet, he is survived by one son, George Russell Barnet, of Flushing, N.Y., and by three sisters; Mrs. Kate Kleinhans, Elmhurst, Long Island; Mrs. Emma Howell and Mrs. Elizabeth Drake, Easton.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, this city and Vanderveer Lodge, No. 1105, I.O.O.F. |
