Walter M. Apple, 84, of 1050 Main St., Hellertown, formerly
of Brad Lane, Bethlehem, died Feb. 6 in the Visiting Nurse
Association Hospice at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill.
He was the husband of Catherine M. (Musgnung) Apple, who died
last May.
He was a brick layer in the coke oven division of Bethlehem
Steel Corp. for 38 years before retiring in 1977.
Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Clyde M. Sr. and
Sarah E. (Wilhelm) Apple.
He was a member of Lower Saucon United Church of Christ, Hellertown.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Men of Retirement Age Club, Coke Oven
Leisure Club and Mespry Club, all of Bethlehem; Hellertown
Sportsmen's Association; Dewey Fire Company, Hellertown, and
AARP.
Survivors: Daughters, sisters, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Heintzelman Funeral Home, 326
Main St., Hellertown. Call 9-10 a.m. Saturday. |
