Hinkle, 75, Former Candy Company Vice President October 09, 1999|The Morning Call Harry D. Hinkle, 75, of Telford, formerly of Sellersville, died Friday, Oc t. 8, in his home. He was the husband of Janice (Trumbower) Hinkle f or 51 years. He worked part-time at Landis Supermarket, Telford, since 1995. Previously he was employed by the Groff Candy Co., Souderton as a delive ry person, becoming a salesman, then a partner in 1954, and eventually vi ce president when the business was sold in 1989. He attended the Bethlehem Business School. Born in Quakertown, he was a son of the late Harry E. and Carrie (Landi s) Hinkle. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Sellersville. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the Wallace Willa rd Keller American Legion Post 242, Quakertown. He was a volunteer in the gift shop at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhi ll Township, and member of the Sellersville Moose. 32nd degree Mason, he was a 50 year member of Quakertown Masonic Lodge 51 2, and a member of the Lehigh Consistory, Allentown. Survivors: Wife; daug hter, Anita E., wife of Glenn Giacobbe of West Chester, Chester County, si sters, Mary Zweier of Towson, Md., Mildred, wife of Ralph Rosenberger of Q uakertown, and two grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Monday in the church. Call 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Jeffrey A. N augle Funeral Home, 20 N. Ambler St., Quakertown, and 10-11 a.m. Mond ay in the church.
