Willard R. `Zimmy` Zimmerman, 86, of 1639 Beech Lane, Macungie, died Thursday, Aug. 17, in his home. He was the husband of Sophie (Witek) `Bock` Zimmerman and the late Pearl O. (Rau) Zimmerman.
He worked for the former Phoenix Clothes, Allentown, for 50 years before retiring as plant engineer.
Born in Bethlehem Township, he was a son of the late Lester Zimmerman and Laura (Uhler) Zimmerman Frey, and a stepson of the late George Frey.
He was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury.
Survivors: Wife; sons, *****. of Allentown, ***** of Coplay, and *****. of Nazareth; brother, Lester of South Whitehall Township; sister, Helen Mazurik of Cresco; stepbrothers, Harold, Howard and Granville Frey, all of Bethlehem; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services: 1 p.m. Monday, Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th and Hamilton streets, Allentown. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday. |
