Lester M. Zimmerman Sr., 79, of Emmaus, died Jan. 26 in Cedarbrook, South Whitehall Township. He was the husband of Sylvia M. (Kinnamon) Zimmerman, who died in 1999.
He was the former owner and operator of Zimmerman's Vacuum Cleaner Sales and Service, Emmaus, before retiring. He also worked for the former Willard Battery, Allentown.
Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Lester and Laura (Uhler) Zimmerman and a stepson of the late George Frey.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Emmaus Fire Company and Emmaus Owls.
Survivors: Sons, ***** of Northampton, ***** of Wernersville, Berks County; daughters, ***** of Kutztown, ***** of Spring City, Chester County; sister, Helen Mazurik of Cresco; stepbrothers, Granville Frey and Harold Frey, both of Bethlehem; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
