MADISON - Helen (Kieffer) Osbeck, age 88, of Madison, died on Sunday, April 16, 2006, at Four Winds Manor, Verona, after a long illness.

Helen was born on Feb. 22, 1918, in Easton, Pa., daughter of Clayton and Lucetta Hinkel.

Helen married Raymond Kieffer on June 22, 1942, and in the early 1950s they moved to Baraboo, where they lived until Raymond passed away in 1974. In 1980 she married Leon C. Osbeck, who passed away in 1985 (he is survived by a son, James).

Helen is survived by her son, ****** of Madison; daughter, ***** of Madison; along with her two beloved grandchildren, ***** of Rochester, Minn., and ***** of Madison. Helen also delighted in her step-grandchildren, *****, ******, along with ***** and ***** of Janesville; her six great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.

She is further survived by her sister, ***** of Easton; brother, George (Patsy) Hinkel of Tulsa Okla.; and sister-in-law, Grace (Robert) Hinkel. Helen was predeceased by her brothers, Robert and Joseph Hinkel of Easton, Pa.; and a step-grandchild, Jackie Ostrander who passed away in 1999. The family wishes to thank the staff at Four Winds Lodge and Manor along with HospiceCare Inc., along with others who cared for her during her illness.

A special thank you also goes to her good friends Marion and Anne; she deeply enjoyed their company, friendship and assistance.
