Mrs. Ruth Warman, active in Church, Community Service
Mrs. Ruth K.H. Warman, 71, of 437 Williams St., Easton, and Ocean City, NJ, died yesterday in Paoli Memorial Hospital where she was readmitted Tuesday.

She lived with her son-in-law and daughter, ******, West Chester, for the last three months while she was ill. She was in poor health the last year.

She was a teller for the Lafayette Trust Bank, Easton, working there intermittently as well as at Losey & Co., Inc., when it was located on South Third Street, Easton.

Since 1945, she and her husband, the late Kenneth E. "Til" Warman, Sr., operated an income tax business. She continued to operate the business after his death in 1977, retiring this year.

Born in Williams Township on Sept 27, 1908, she was a daughter of the late Earie C. and Mabel Keifer Helm.

She was a member of St. John's (New Williams) Lutheran Church, Williams Township, where she was active with the Lutheran Church Women, the Altar Guild, and the Sunday School. There is a class called the Ruth Warman Seniorettes. She was the first woman to serve to the church council.

She was a board member of Muhlenberg Medical Center and was a member of the Dames of Malta, sisterhood 272, Easton.

She and her husband were co-chairmen of the Polio Drive in the area for many years.

She was active with the Easton YWCA, the Easton Senior Citizens, and the PTA on local and state levels. She was a girl scout leader for many years.

She was a member of the Shuffleboard Club of Ocean City, NJ.

Surviving in addition to her daughter are a son,****. of Piscataway, NJ four brothers, John S. Helm, Ellerslie W.R. Helm, Earie C. Helm Jr, and Kenneth S. Helm, and of Williams Township, and five grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the St. John's Lutheran Church. Interment will be in New Williams Cemetery. The Strunk Funeral Home, Easton, is in charge of arrangements.
