Earie C. Helm, Jr., partner in garage, former fire chief
Earie C. Helm, Jr., 62 former fire chief in Williams Township, died Sunday in Allentown General Hospital. He lived at 1770 Morgan Hill Road, Williams Township.
He was a partner in the Helm Brothers Garage and Trucking, Williams Township.
Born June 18, 1920, in Easton he was a son of the late Earie C. and Mabel Kiefer Helm.
Mr. Helm served as the first fire chief of Williams Township Fire co. No. 1.
He was a member of St. John's (New Williams) Lutheran Church, Williams Township and the fire company. He was a charter member of the Lions Club of Williams Township, and a life member of the Order of Fleas, Easton.
Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth M. Hoadley; a son, Carl E., at home; two daughters, Gail E. Helm, Belle Plain, NJ., and Mrs. Sherri L. Helm Shiner, Easton and three brothers, John S., Ellerslie W.R. and Kenneth S., all of Williams Township.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Easton. Interment wil be in New Williams cemetery, Williams Township. |
