Mrs. Charles P. Garis
Mrs. Emma E. Garis, 73, of 932 W. Wilkes-Barre St. died last night in Easton Hospital. She was hospitalized Sept 28. She was ill six years.
Mrs. Garis was the wife of Charles P. Garis. The couple observed their 50th wedding anniversary last Jan 29.
Born in Bethlehem Township on Aug 5, 1888, Mrs. Garis was a daughter of the late Thomas and Lillian Rothrock Campbell.
She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ and Rosalind Circle 791,Companions of Forest of America.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Lillian J. Garis at home, five sisters, Mrs. K.M. Wilson and Miss Alice Campbell, both of Philadelphia, Miss Bessie Campbell, Palmer Township, Mrs. Clarence Kincaid, Butztown, and Mrs. Elmira Banko, Avona Heights, two brothers, Harry Campbell, Wilson and Thomas E Campbell, Jr Easton Route 41.
The Funeral will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at the Strunk Funeral Home, Easton. |
