Elmer P. Buzzard
Elmer P. Buzzard, 76, of Bangor died suddenly this morning at the home of his niece, Mrs. H. Morrow, at Lyndhurst, N.J., where he was visiting. Born in Bangor, Mr. Buzzard spent most of his life in that town, where he was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Prosperity Lodge, 661, I. O.O. F., and Shiloh Commandery, Knights of Malta, of Bangor and the Knights of Golden Eagle, East Bangor. He had been actively connected with Northampton County politics, having served two terms as county commissioner and was also a justice of the peace in Bangor for many years.
Mr. Buzzard is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma C. Buzzard and the following children: Mrs. Gilbert Wills, Bangor, Mrs. George Leh, Glendale. L.I.; Mrs. Fred Christine, Newton, N.J.; Russell Buzzard, New York city; Mrs. Theresa Sapp of Hoboken, N.J. and Mrs. Henry Garrett, Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Peter Reagle, Marshall, Mich, and Mrs. Isaiah Poyer of Columbia, N.J. 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
