Helen Zimmy May Mazurik, 93, of Cresco, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2008, at Pleasant Valley Manor in Hamilton Township. She was the wife of the late George Mazurik, who died in 1996. Born in Butztown, she was the daughter of the late Lester M. Zimmerman and Laura (Uhler) Frey. She attended the Salvation Army College and was an active lifelong supporter of the Salvation Army. Before retiring, Helen worked as a Dining Room Captain at the Buck Hill Inn. She also enjoyed making all kinds of crafts in her leisure.
Survivors: A brother, *****y of Bethlehem; four stepdaughters, ***** of South Sterling, ***** of Centre Hall, ****** of Springtown, ***** of Cresco; sister-in-law, ***** of Macungie; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews, especially ***** and her husband, ***** of Cresco and ***** of Hellertown. She was predeceased by six brothers, Willard Zimmerman, Lester Zimmerman Sr., Granville, Howard, Harry, and Norman Frey, a sister, Mildred Frey; and a grandchild.
Services: Reverend George Alt will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 18, at Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 and 390 in Paradise Valley.
Interment follows at Lutheran Cemetery in Moscow.
