William Wolfram, 54, Ex-Baker Chemist; Coached at Moravian
William E.Wolfram III, 54, of 57 Glen Ave., Phillipsburg,
died this morning in Easton Hospital where he was admitted
Feb. 22.
Mr. Wolfram was a chemist for the J.T. Baker ChemicalCo.
25 years. He last worked on Feb. 20. He formerly taught math
and chemistry at Moravian College from 1947 to 1951 and also
coached its basketball team.
Born in Bethlehem on Feb. 2, 1922, he was a son of William
E. Wolfram II, Bethlehem, and the late Margaret case Wolfram.
He lived in Phillipsburg the last 32 years.
He was a graduate of Liberty High School, Bethlehem, class
of 1939, and Moravian College, class of 1943. He was a Navy
veteran of World War II and was a member of St. John's Luteran
Church, Easton, and a former member of the board of directors
of the Firth Youth Center, Phillipsburg.
Survivors include his widow, the former Dorothy Sampson;
two sons, a daughter, and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Rupell
Funeral Home, Phillipsubrg. Interment will be in Northampton
Memorial Shrine.
