William P. Wilhelm
William P. Wilhelm, 45, of Apple Street, Hellertown R.D. 1,
was dead on arrival at St. Luke's Hosptial at 2:45 p.m. yesterday.
An assistant general foreman at the basic oxygen furnace at
the Bethlehem Steel Corp., Wihlhelm was stricken in the plant
while attemptting to turn off a switch during a minor operating
disturbance.
Wilhelm was born in Hellertown, a son of the late Oscar and
Verna Hahn Wilhelm.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Bethlehem, and
was the husband of the former Ethel R. Gecsek.
Surviving in addition to his widow are three daughters, Mrs.
Wallace Fry Jr., of Fountain Hill, and Valerie and Vanessa,
both at home, two sons, William P. Jr., with the U.S. Navy
in Vietnam, and Thomas, at home; a sister, Mrs. Arthur Counts,
Fleetwood, and a grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Wallace M. Long
Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. |
