George Walter
George Walter, an aged resident of this city, died last evening at
the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. M. Sitgreaves, corner of Ferry
and Bank streets. The deceased was in his eightieth year, and death
was caused by paralysis of the heart, by which he was attacked a
half hour before he died. He was a native of Williams Township and
resided there all his life with the exception of the last year when
he moved to Easton. A widow and three children survive; Mrs. John
Kolb, of Williams Township, Mrs. Sylvester Merwarth, of Williams
Township, and Mrs. Herbert Genther, of South Easton. He also leaves
on brothers, Peter Walter, of Iowa. He was a member of St. Paul’s
Lutheran church, South Easton.
