Martha E. Beam, 83, formerly of Warren Street, Easton, died Sunday
in Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Palmer Township.
She was a cafeteria worker for Easton Hospital before retiring in
1989.
She was Easton Hospital's first open heart surgery patient in April
1964.
Born in Lower Nazareth Township, she was a daughter of the late John
and Lizzie (Brown) Walters.
Survivors: Sons, daughters,
16 grandchildren
and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 A.M. Wednesday, Alfonso D. Morello Funeral Home, 12th
and Lehigh Streets, Easton. Call after 7 p. m. Tuesday.
