George F. Walters, 73, of Palmer Township, died Saturday
in Eastwood Convalescent Home, Wilson. He was the husband
of Elizabeth (Wohlbach) Walters. They were married 48 years
this month.
Walters worked in the purchasing department of Bethlehem
Steel Corp. for 25 years before retiring.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Elmer and Jennie
(Apgar) Walters.
He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic
Church, Wilson.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the
original Flying Tigers, 1941-42.
Survivors: Wife; brothers, Kenneth of Richmond, Va., and
Emmett of Easton, and a sister, Esabelle Young of Easton.
He was predeceased by a son, Robert John, and a daughter,
Judith Ann.
