Enos Walter
Enos Walter, 81, a retired school teacher, died early this
morning at his home, 1801 Fairview avenue, Wilson, of infirmities
incident to old age, after an illness of two years and six
months. He was born on February 12, 1852, in Forks township,
a son of the late Abraham and Elizabeth Uhler Walter. He
had resided in Palmer township and Wilson borough during
his entire life and was the last member of his family.
For 40 years Mr. Walter taught school in Palmer township
and retired 20 years ago. He had many friends in this vicinity.
His wife, Mrs. Elemina Walter, died 11 years ago.
Mr. Walter is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Marie E.Eckert,
wife of Russell E. Eckert, of 710 Brodhead street, this city,
and by one granddaughter, Miss Margaret C. Eckert. He was
a member of the Arndt's Messinger Lutheran Church. |
