Charles Uhler, 75, Employed 34 Years By Cement company
Charles E. Uhler, 75, of 22 N. High St., East Bangor died yesterday at Easton Hospital.

Mr. Uhler was formerly employed in the Maintenance department of the Lehigh Portland Cement Company at Sandt’s Eddy for 34 years until 1959. He was last employed as a repairman at Gracedale, Nazareth R.D1 retiring in 1964.

Born in Stockertown, he was a son of the late Epherin and Carrie Hinkel Uhler. He lived in Stockertown until 12 years ago when he moved to East Bangor.

His first wife, the former Alice Young, died in 1960.

He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church east Bangor, and was a past president of the Bushkill Valley Lions Club.

Survivors include his widow, the former Mae A. Young; two daughters, Catherine “Kitty” Uhler and Mrs. George Parenti, both of Stockertown; two sons, Charles Stockertown, and Harold, Mount Holly Springs, Cumberland County; four stepdaughters, Mrs. H. Robert Houck, pen Argyl; Mrs. Kathryn Brewer and Mrs. Gladys Bickfort, both of Wilson, and Mrs. Lois Nerino, Bangor R.D3, Two stepsons, Russell and Edward Eichlin, both of East Bangor; two sisters, Mrs. Mazie Ridgely, Bath R.D. and Naomi Uhler, Nazareth; three brothers, Valentine, Allentown; Ray, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Sherman, Ambler; 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Prince of Peace Church. Interment will be in Forks Cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Schmidt Mortuary, Nazareth.
