Lovene A. Uhler
Lovene A. Uhler, one of Easton’s old and well-known citizens, died at 10:15 o’clock last night at his home 210 Cattell Street, after an illness of two weeks. He was a native of Forks Township, a son of the late Jeremiah and Matilda Uhler. He was 78 years old on February 12, last.
Mr. Uhler had resided in Easton for a long time and for many years was route agent for the old Easton Argus. He was a member of the Humane Fire Company and the first Methodist Episcopal Church. For a number of years he served as Democratic registrar of the Third ward of Easton.
Mr. Uhler was preceded in death a little over a year ago by his wife, Mrs. Mary C. Uhler.
His nearest survivors are three nephews, J. Loyd Uhler, L. Allen Uhler, of Easton, and Dr. Chester Uhler, of Washington, D.C. |
