Russell M. Drauch
Russell M. Drauch, 82, of 45 Belvidere St., Nazareth, died yesterday
in Easton Hospital where he was admitted Tuesday. He was in failing
health for the last four years.
He was a bartender in the Nazareth and Stockertown areas for many
years. He was last employed eight years as a steward for VFW Post No.
4366, Nazareth, retiring in 1965 because of ill health.
He was a knitter by trade, working for more than 20 years at the former
Pohatcong Knitting Mills, Washington, and later for Kraemer Hosiery
Mills, Nazareth.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ Church, Nazareth;
a life member and charter member of the Nazareth VFW Post; life member
of the Vigilance Hose Co., Nazareth, and member of Confident Lodge
No. 1133, IOOF, Hecktown. He was an Army veteran of World War I, serving
in France.
He and his wife, the former Anna M. MacDonald, celebrated their 58th
wedding anniversary June 18.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Schmidt Mortuary,
Nazareth. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown.
