Ellwood W. Stout, 69, of 415 E. 4th St., Northampton, died Saturday in Muhlenberg Hospital Center. He was the husband of Dorothy E. (Crock) Stout.
He was a driver-salesman for the National Biscuit Co., Bethlehem, for 30 years until retiring in 1978.
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Clyde and Annie (Smith) Stout.
He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Northampton, where he currently was a member of the church council, a deacon and an elder. He also was a past treasurer.
He was an Air Force veteran of World War II.
He was a past worshipful master of the Chapman Lodge 637, Northampton. He was a 32nd Degree Mason of Rajah Temple, Reading.
Surviving with his widow are a daughter, *****., wife of ***** of Whitehall Township, and a brother Henry .
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Monday. |
