Theodore J. Steckel
Theodore J. Steckel, 57, of 423 Iron St., died yesterday afternoon
at 4:20 o'clock in Easton Hospital after a brief illness. He
was admitted on Saturday.
Mr. Steckel had been employed for the last three years by
Henry Carver, a general contractor in Easton. Earlier he worked
at different times for Geary Brothers, Easton coal dealers;
Kepler's Coal Co., and Messinger Supply Co.
Born in Easton on March 2, 1896, he was a son of the late
John F. and Sarah Elizabeth Seifert Steckel. He was a lifelong
resident of this city. He was of the Lutheran faith. His wife,
the former Cathernie Shall, died 25 years ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Catharine Lichtenwalner of
Easton; three sons, Leroy and Charles, both of Belvidere, and
Theodore Jr., of Syracuse, NY; two sisters, Mrs. John Brunner,
of Easton, and Mrs. Ruth Gorman, of Plainfield, NJ, a brother
Leroy with whom he resided, and several grandchildren. |
