Miss Margaret Steckel
Miss Margaret Steckel, 21, daughter of Mrs. Rachel and the
late John Steckel, died at 1:30 o'clock this morning at her
home 1012 Berwick street. She had been ill for the past year.
The mother of the young lady returned home a few days ago from
the Easton Hospital, where she had been under treatment for
four weeks and is improving although she is blind in one eye
from her sickness and a sister, Miss Jennie Steckel is ill
with scarlet fever in the Easton Hospital at the present time.
Her father died about two years ago and a brother Edward died
three years ago.
She is survived by her mother and these brothers and sisters:
Jennie, in the Easton Hospital and William and Edith, Robert
and Shirley, all at home. She was a member of Zion Lutheran
Church and Sunday school, for about five years, prior to her
illness; she was employed at the Chipman Knitting Mill. |
