Mrs. Sylvester Garr
Mrs. Lizzie Garr, 63, wife of Sylvester Garr, died at 4 o’clock
this morning at her home at Sandt’s Eddy, on the North
Delaware River Road, after a few days; illness from paralysis.
She was a life-long resident of that community and had a host
of friends there.
She was an active and faithful member of Mt. Zion Lutheran
Church, Martin’s Creek; was president of the Ladies’ Aid
Society of that church and was active in Sunday school work.
She is survived by her husband and by one son, Walter E. Garr,
at home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:30 at the home,
with continued services at 2 o’clock in Mt. Zion Lutehran
Church, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Samuel Kistler, and
the Rev. H. C. Snyder, of Nazareth, a former pastor. Interment
will be made in Church Hill cemetery.
