Smock, Ralph F.
Ralph F. Smock, 88, of Wilson Borough, died Saturday, October
1, 2005, in Old Orchard Health Care. Born: November 9, 1916,
in Wilson Borough, a son of the late Ralph F. and Norma R.
Fox. Personal: His wife, the former Dorothy L. Shirman, died
in 1969. Ralph was a 1936 graduate of Wilson High School
and served in the Army during World War II. He retired from
Bell Telephone where he was employed for 37 years. He worked
in many disaster relief efforts throughout the years. Ralph
enjoyed hunting and woodworking, loved to garden and travel,
and raised beagles and pigeons. Memberships: He was a member
of Memorial United Church of Christ. He was also a member
of Easton Lodge 152, Free & Accepted Masons, Forks of
the Delaware High Twelve, Patriotic Order Sons of America,
Easton Elks Lodge 121 and Junior Order of Mechanics. Survivors:
a son, a step-son, a sister, four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren,
three great-grandchildren;
a great-great-grandson; and a dear friend, Mary Ann Legath,
of Easton. Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Strunk Funeral
Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Wilson Borough. Call noon
to 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in
Hay's Cemetery. Memorials: to the church, 1913 Freemansburg
Avenue, Easton, PA 18042.
