Ruth V. Carr, 74, of Easton died Wednesday, Jan. 28, at home.
She was the wife of the late Easton Police Lt. Thomas W. Carr.
She was employed by the former Weller Electric, Easton, before
retiring in 1973. Previously, she worked for the former Transogram
Toy Co., Easton; the former Dixie Cup, Wilson, and Magnetic
Windings, Palmer Township. During World War II, she was employed
by the former Chipman's Defense Plant, West Easton.
Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Elwood and
Viola (Moser) Skillman.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Easton.
She was a member of the auxiliary of Rice Ebner American Legion
Post 588, Easton, and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Survivors: Sons, Thomas W. Jr. of Palmer Township, Donald
A. of Easton and Frank R. of Danielsville; stepdaughter, Joan
L. Allison of Thomaston, Conn.; brother Richard of Lexington,
Mo., eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Strunk Funeral Home, 602 W. Berwick
St., Easton. Call 10-11 a.m. Saturday.
